The overwhelming positive feedback we received before, during, and after our first Trackday at Circuit Zolder, which started with a Cars & Coffee, shows that we have a winning formula. We want more of that!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Sunday, May 12th, we considered various formats in advance: should we reserve this event for specific brands? For certain age categories of cars? For particular styles? Then someone had the brilliant idea to simply allow everyone to participate, giving both experienced circuit drivers and beginners the chance to take their first laps on a closed track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, 234 cars showed up, and we booked 363 circuit sessions of 20 minutes each, ensuring the track was never overcrowded. The diverse range of participants included everything from a Volkswagen Jetta TDI to an Audi RS 6 Avant with a V10, and from a Renault Clio RS to a Lotus 2-Eleven. Meanwhile, a Mazda MX-5 Cup, driven by professional drivers, was giving taxi rides, and we even saw a Bugatti Chiron make an emotional guest appearance as part of The Bucketlist, a volunteer organization that gives sick children an amazing day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to say that the day went off without any incidents. Of course, we must give credit to the participants for their respectful behavior both on and off the track: it wasn\u2019t intended to scout the new Max Verstappen, and everyone clearly understood that. The success of this first edition has left us eager for more, and we are already dreaming of the next AutoGids\/Le Moniteur Automobile circuit event. One that will be even better than this first Trackday…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
